Map Making & Family on PBS Kids Alma’s Way

See me with my mom hat on sharing map making, community and family love on Alma’s Way, PBS Kids

Super excited to see the PBS Kids segment we recorded for the adorable show, Alma’s Way has aired. In this 8 minute clip, Mapping Memories, find me with my mom’s hat on (you’ll hear my volunteer parent librarian fill-in Mrs. Peanut Butter voice here, too!) talking about what Central Park means to us, the fun in map making and how maps tell specific, ever-evolving stories, and the value of local community. Plus you get to meet my roller-disco aunt with South Bronx roots, just like Alma!

Thank you PBS Kids, Fred Rogers Studios (dream come true: I love you Mr. Rogers, and I know you like me back too, saying “just the way you are.”), Sonia Manzano (childhood days of Sesame Street!) and the Alma’s Way crew including Hugo, Eliana and Mia. You made a family memory for us and I hope we gave your audience a nice memory, too. All love.
